Ryotei KAWABUN Osechi 2026
Over 400 years ago, dating back to the time of the Owari Tokugawa clan, Nagoya's oldest restaurant has packed the best of Japanese culture into its New Year dishes through food and crafts.
We have carefully selected products from the Tokai region, including KAWABUN 's traditional "steamed salted abalone" and ingredients and seasonings associated with the Three Great Heroes. We also use Hida Shunkei lacquerware for the boxed lunches and celebratory chopsticks, and Arimatsu dyeing for the wrapping cloth.
The New Year's meal will be served in a Shunkei lacquer box and chopsticks wrapped in an Arimatsu-dyed furoshiki wrapping cloth, along with a selection of sweets, sashimi, and grilled Omi beef with mirin, all carefully selected by the KAWABUN restaurant.
