Nagoya's "Ryōtei KAWABUN": Learn etiquette while enjoying kaiseki cuisine

Experience Overview
This Otonami-exclusive plan allows you to dine on a kaiseki course meal (approximately eight dishes in total) at KAWABUN, Nagoya's oldest restaurant with over 400 years of history. The course will be taught by a head waitress who is an expert on Japanese dining etiquette, or an instructor with extensive experience in tea ceremony and etiquette instruction. While leisurely savoring KAWABUN 's special kaiseki cuisine, which incorporates plenty of seasonal ingredients, you will learn not only etiquette but also how to enjoy Japanese-style décor.


Characteristics of the experience
・An exclusive Otonami plan where you can learn about Japanese dining etiquette while enjoying a kaiseki course meal in a Japanese-KAWABUN.
・Instructors with extensive experience and knowledge about Japanese dining etiquette will provide direct instruction. You will learn practically how to serve kaiseki cuisine.
The book provides detailed explanations of basic manners, how to decorate a room, how to enjoy dishes, and how to enjoy food without getting too caught up in tradition.

Flow of the experience
1. Meet at the entrance of Ryotei KAWABUN (please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the experience)
2. Kaiseki Etiquette Course (approx. 120 minutes)
3. Dismissal

What to bring
Nothing in particular.

Attire
・Please refrain from coming to the museum barefoot (you may be asked to remove your shoes).
・Please refrain from wearing beach sandals and tank tops.

Conditions for participation
Recommended for ages 10 and up
* Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and the participant and accompanying person will be charged the same price as one person. Please note that the meal contents will be the same as for adults.
