Tea House

Restaurant Kawabun 's Sabo

Our teahouse looks out on two enclosed gardens created by the late Matsuo Sogo (Fusensai), head of the Matsuo-ryu school of Japanese tea ceremony.
The gardens present an elegantly refreshing view distinguished by a hexagonal stone lantern whose short post accentuates its presence and a low washbasin that evokes the customs of the tea ceremony, as well as a dry landscape of nachiguro stone and the inimitable Kawabun touch of a well around which echoes of gossip linger on.
It is also a masterpiece that greens such as Ubamaegashi love and tea ceremony love are growing up.
The result is truly a space out of time.

Afternoon tea

Along with seasonal teas, special drinks, and light tea brewed right in front of you.
You can enjoy mitarashi dango made with hand-made volcanic soup stock and other sweets.
