[Celebrate life's milestones with KAWABUN hospitality]
There are important moments in life when families gather together and share joy.
Since our founding, Ryotei KAWABUN has assisted with many celebratory occasions, such as the first meal, Shichigosan, entrance and graduation ceremonies, coming-of-age ceremonies, longevity celebrations, engagement ceremonies, and family meetings.
Our celebratory meals, suitable for a joyous occasion, are made using seasonal ingredients, and each dish is carefully prepared with meaning in mind, from the coloring and tableware to the presentation.
Spend quality time with your family in a private room designed in a serene sukiya-zukuri style, without concern for others.
With our established traditions and sincere hospitality, we will wholeheartedly welcome you to your wonderful day.
First meal ceremony
At the beginning of the meal
An older person of the same sex brings the food to the child's mouth.
Therefore, someone other than the one responsible for delivering the meals will be required to hold the child.
Then, the food is brought to the child's mouth in the order of sekihan and soup, followed by sea bream, boiled food, vinegared food, and teething stones.
We recommend capturing photos with everyone together before the ceremony; and of course, during the ceremony!
For adults, please choose from the regular Kaiseki menu.
You can enjoy it at your leisure after the ceremony.
1st birthday
This is a traditional event that wishes for the baby's healthy growth and happiness, involving the baby carrying a 'one-sho mochi' (a rice cake weighing about 1.8 kilograms) on their back to ensure they will always have enough to eat.
We will provide 1-sho rice cakes and straw sandals at our shop.
Face-to-Face Meeting and Engagement Ceremony
It can be used as an engagement ceremony and an important opportunity to deepen the friendship between the two families.
